“What a great way to experience a mountain in Winter!  Throughout the valley, several resorts and adventure companies offer Showshoeing Expeditions. I was apprehensive at first, but found that within 5 minutes, I was hiking – on snowshoes, as though I had been doing it all my life!  It takes a slight movement alteration, (like waddling), and care not to step on the tail of your other snowshoe. It’s great fun!  Canadian Gray Jays swooped down as we trod through the tall lodgepole pine, hungrily looking for tidbits of trail snacks that we dropped along the way.   Believe me it’s a thrill every time - especially the first!  Try it!  You’ll love it.”
